Reacting to “global economic crisis”….and how to stay on top of it….

By Perry a.k.a. Yusuf

In one of my conversations with an Indonesian friend....knowing that I practice real estate sales in my country, she asked me what I think about the current economic crisis or the so-called "economic global crisis". And how is it affecting my business. She tells me that she has not actually felt it here in Jakarta as more and more developments are going on and underway; big proofs are the malls all over Jakarta.

To her own analysis, this “crisis” is just a political creation.I COULD ONLY AGREE WITH HER. I see the same machination. Yes, this crisis is a political maneuvering, another ploy, another manipulation of the giants, of the “first-world countries”. The powers that be are really up to establishing that one-world order. Well, I wish them luck. In this world, where most people only see power coming from money or wealth or guns are headed for the doom. They think, they are in control, they really are not. There is the GREATER FORCE beyond all these physical displays of strength that is seen and felt hard. Sadly, we all know we have our spiritual side (read, spiritual reality) but a many could not or would not want to find balance in their truest existence. When greed sets in, hold on to your hard-earned money or even on the food you put on your table, as these cowards will grab and take all that they can from us, hard-working people. Their profits are already computed, there is no way that they would bring down their projected earnings just to save people from dying, from starvation or economic miseries. It is all about business and profits. In the Philippines, crisis or no crisis is very much the same, the people have learned to go with the flow. People have become seemingly helpless to political forces currently in power for “organized crimes”. I said “seemingly” meaning just being quiet for now, and trying to find peaceful existence inspite of....FOR NOW. People have just learned to survive and make the most of what they have. Many are aware of realities, it is decent survival that each person is aiming at. As to the real estate side, same as Jakarta, the Philippines continues to be THE area of development and a haven for investment. I always tell my clients, in the Philipppines, it is always in real estate that you can never go wrong. Prices never go down, only remain at current prices. “Crisis” can be opportunities as well because, some owners who are in a rush to unload of properties may give in to negotiated deals, prices below market values. There are opportunities is midst of this cinematic "political-economic" chaos. This time is actually a opportune time as negotiation will mostly favor BUYERS. Golden opportunities are presenting themselves RIGHT NOW, we just got to open our eyes and minds and not succumb to the current painted, tainted scenarios. Time to move quick and wisely. Investors must realized that they can be responsible also to current economic woes if they include themselves in the line up of FENCE-SITTERS. It is this breed of fence-sitters that created prolonged agonies to the markets. We should know better. This is the only world we live in, we must move with responsibly and wisely. There is much to gain, others see this and would take full advantage . Invest right now and you will tell yourself that YOU HAVE MADE THE RIGHT MOVE. And the move must be right now....
